6 September 2015

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. Mick had a happy Grandfathers Day. It was lovely to wake up to hearing our wee man talking to himself then waltzing on into our room to snuggle in with us. We are so blessed to be Grandies!

We all had breakfast then got ready to go into the market.

The big and small of it.
Snobby Alpacas.

It was a bit boring at the market so we went for a wander to the park.

Nixon was very brave conquering the swinging bridge.

We didn't think we were going to get Nixon off this swing! He loved it. The higher the better.

Off home we went for some lunch then down to the Working Men's Club for a catch up until Nixon was picked up to go home.

Our house is quiet tonight :(

Seeing our boys

5th of September

We had a lovely visit from Nikki-Leigh, Hayden, Nixon and Beau today. Wow that baby has grown. Beau is one month old today. He smiled at me and I got to feed to him. What a wriggly wee fellow he is. Full of beans. I do love my wee grandsons!

Nixon came for a sleepover. He wasn't at all phased when his parents and wee brother drove off. We had a great time with the toys and his favourite story "Old MacDonald's Farm". He does prefer grandad to read it. I think it is cos Grandad talks funny!

Who had more fun with the transformer? Hmmm...

Yep. Cuteness personified

Cheese!
Nixon loves the trucks and cars. Funny to have toys everywhere.
Nixon has learned to say Charlie. He says Charlie, Charlie, Charlie when he is okay with Charlie being there but when Charlie is annoying him he says it in the same grumpy voice that Grandad says it. It is so funny. He is a bit wary of Charlie but I think it is because he is the same height now and Charlie is a bit in his face. They were getting better with each other by bed time.

Nixon brought his wee guitar with him. He is so cute strumming away. He gave grandad some lessons. Grandad needs work.

Feral the grumpy cat was mostly tolerant of Nixon. She was very interested in Beau when he was here. I was very surpised that she let Nixon cuddle and get close to her. I don't trust her but Nixon has made friends with her anyway.

Sausages, baked beans and hash browns for tea. It was so cool to sit at the table with Nixon. We had to sit him up on a cushion. He mostly fed himself with a bit of help from Grandad. He is quite a wee man now.

He was more than happy to go off to bed in the big bed. We had a laugh because when we said bedtime he ran off to the wee room that he usually has. It has been ages and ages since he has stayed so we were very intrigued that he remembered sleeping in that room.

It will be so nice to wake up to our wee man in the morning.

Long over due update!

5 August 2015

It has been such a long time since I updated this blog. Heaps has happened with the most exciting part of all is that Nixon has a new wee brother! Beau Ian Jack born on the 5th of August. Like a freak nana I was straight into that hospital to see our new moko. It was a very quick labour and I missed the birth but Nikki-Leigh was once again amazing and deserving of a quick birth after the hard time she went through with Nixon. They only kept them there for two hours before sending them both home. I'm not impressed with that at all. Sending a mum and baby out at 10pm at night in the middle of winter. Anyway what is done is done. Move on.

6th of August 2015

Of course the next day we had to pop over and visit Nikki, Hayden, Nixon and Beau. Nixon was interested in his new wee brother but very happy with all the visitors who called in to visit.
