31 October 2015

I woke up to the sound of a wee man chattering away. Nixon got up and was standing in my room just after 7am. What a lovely way to start the day. In he hopped for cuddles when his face lit up and he said "E-I-E-I-O". The famous words from the book we have read to him since he first stayed with us as a tiny baby. Out he jumped and away we went to look for it. We got back with a pile of books and as many toys as we could carry!

Sorry Nana. There is no room for you!

Once Grandad was up and ready to go check on the dogs Nixon wanted to go too. "Where Grandad? Where Grandad?" If it wasn't so cute I would be jealous!

Come on Grandad. Faster!

Don't stop Grandad!

Grandad had to take a couple of dogs to the track so I had Nixon all to myself. Off we went to town (Oxford being town... I know!!!!!)
Push!

A spot of shopping after a wee play.

Back home and off to explore the big paddock, free fairies and check out the dandelions. We didn't expect a Paradise Duck to fly in and land right in front of us. Nixon the duck hunter did his thing but could not catch it. Good try Nixon. No duck dinner tonight.

Hey duck, wait up! STOP!!! DUUUCCCKKK!!!!

When Grandad got back from town it was time for a bit of a workout. I wonder where he learned these skills?!

Walk time to check out the local old cows.

Nixon decided he would take control of the cart. He talked to it saying "Come on, come on" when he was trying to move it. made me laugh!
Suddenly he gave up on the trolley and asked, "Where is Grandad?" Then said "Lawn" and took off around the corner to where Mick was mowing the lawns. Time for lessons.

It was a bit difficult mowing the lawns like that so Nixon and I sat with Charlie and watched.
I love you Nixon

I don't care, Charlie, I just want Grandad to hurry up!
The minute the lawn mower was put in the shed Nixon ran over to Grandad yelling, "Cuddle, cuddle!"
A cheeky wee cuddle request!

Time for a play before tea

Grandads pasta for tea
A wee sing along before a quick shower (Nixon appears to hate showers!)

What a lovely day we had with our wee man. Can't wait to have Beau over.

A lovely weekend with the Grandlings

Friday 30th of October

Yesterday we went over to Hayden and Nikki's for tea. We got lots of cuddles and read plenty of stories before stealing Nixon away for the night. Beau is three months old now. Where has the time gone. He has such a beautiful smile.

Our timing was very good. Beau was just having his bath.

Hmmm do you mind? I'm naked here!

That is better.

Now I can smile!

Of course Nixon found a story straight away to share with Grandad. Nana who?

Nixon had to entertain us with the skills he has learned from Pa Joe and Kahu. What a talented wee man he is! Rock on Nixon!
