A day with the boy

What a lovely start to the day when we woke up and remembered that we had a house full of family. (Still wish Johnno was here too :( Miss you Johnno). Nixon woke about 7.30 and came and snuggled in with Nana and Grandad.
We got out all the toys we bought at the Great Oxford Garage Sale last weekend and covered the bed once Nixon was sick of snuggling. Grandad had been waiting all week for the toys to come out!
Nixon is very ticklish and spent a fair bit of the morning giggling.

When Nikki-Leigh, Hannah, Hayden and Jesse went off to the Adrenaline Forest and Grandad took Ben and Sam to the schooling track Nixon and I worked on his modelling skills to take some serious snaps. That boy can really work the camera. I just love his wee PJs.

After the exhausting modelling shoot we went out for a bit of fresh air to strut out stuff in the wopwops of Oxford. Nixon wanted to take Gandad's new wheels but I reminded him that he doesn't have his licence. Just as well because we met Grandad on his way home who pulled over to chat us up. Didn't offer us a ride though. Hard to get a good man.

Hurry up Grandad. I'm waiting for you
Nixon and I sat on the porch and watched Grandad sort the dogs out. Nothing like watching hard work. It is a bit tiring but we coped.

We found a spot in the sun so that Nixon could really check out his the new toys. He got flashed up in the shirt Grandad bought him in the UK and the pants that I think Hannah and Jesse got him. Such a handsome wee guy he makes all the clothes look good.

Grandad tried his hand at pram pushing.

Hayden texted from town at 4.30 to say they were going to go back to the Coast and could we feed and bath Nixon. So we rushed around got our wee man's tummy full and scrubbed up and into his PJs ready. Nixon and grandad did some blokey hanging out.

We tried very hard to keep Nixon up for the trip home but he just couldn't keep his eyes open. I didn't mind too much. Who doesn't love having someone they love fall asleep in your arms? If it was school holidays he could have just stayed. Work is getting in the way of my nannering! Once the kids arrived back they hogged my camera, packed their car, stole my grandbaby and disappeared. They did however buy us a delicious cup cake each. Thank you (and my hips thank you!)

I mss my kids :( Wish Johnno had have come over :( Feeling blessed that I got to catch up though.
Cupcake?
Lovely selfie Hayden. Is that a booger in your nose?

Awww what a cute couple x
