Trip home

Yay! I got to go home for a couple of day and see my lovely whanau. The road was a bit slow until Otira but it was a beautiful trip. I wanted to stop more but I wanted to get home!

I got a few cuddles with Nixon when I got there before I had to play fair and share him with his Taua. Great to see Kara even though it was brief. Nixon went for a sleep over in Greymouth while I got to have some very nice time with my boys and their girls (we missed you Nikki-Leigh). Man I miss living over there.

One of the places Nixon gets his good looks

I spent my Saturday catching up on some household chores. It was nice to have a good chinwag with Nikki-Leigh and then Johnno before heading out to my BFF's. Why does wine taste so good with you Kate?!!! I was pretty lucky to be in town to hear about Jesse's first day at the dairy factory.

Sunday morning I pruned roses (yes I'm a nana!) before packing my car and sadly getting organised to go back. Luckily I got to have an hour or so with Nixon when they all arrived. I smooched and cuddled that boy.

Yum. Muesli bars.

He has learned to clap his hands when you say, "Nixon, clap your hands". Such a clever boy. His smile is the most magical smile in the world. It makes everyone else smile along with him. Man I love that wee man.

Now I am just plain homesick. I want to go back. I left my heart over there. :(
