27th of December

Mick woke me up with a smiling little man in his arms. Nixon woke about 6.15. Uncle John got him up and dressed him in an outfit none of my grandchildren should ever wear! Nana and grandad took over the duties so the uncle could go back to bed. Do you call them 'duties' when you love it?!

We read books and played with toys. Mick shared with Nixon too! I so love the morning snuggles with our wee moko. Once he heard his mum and dad awake Nixon was off to do some speed crawling around the house.

 Jesse and Johnno headed back to the Coast quite early and Hayden, Nikki and Nixon went to town leaving us in a very quiet house. Pity the plans changed from two nights together to one. I feel like we really didn't have a lot of time together but it was great that Nikki and Hayden stayed for an extra night.
