After being a wake for an hour listening to Nixon cry on sometime between 1 something and 2 something am doing my kennel hand job this wee man brightened up my morning. I actually slept in. The lack of early morning traffic on a Sunday morning kept me sleeping until 7.15am. I jumped out of bed and sprinted out to the shed expecting the kennels to look like the inside of one of Nixon's nappies. Luckily it was just the usual wet kennel that the darling Ben had for me to clean up.
Our wee ray of sunshine woke about 8.30am which allowed me time for a very quick shower. After his bottle he had a good yak to Grandad on the phone. He is beginning to get the knack of this phone business.
When Nixon went back to bed I got on with a bit more school work. I am VERY slowly wading my way through it.
When Nixon got back up he spent a good half hour playing with the clothes basket. He puts a peg at the top, lets it slide down then reaches in to get it and then start all over again.
After his nap we got the exciting news that Nikki-Leigh and Hayden have got engaged. After a few fails we eventually got to talk to Hayden on the phone. Nixon had a wee listen to his dad. He wasn't in a chatty mood at that stage.
Nixon and Charlie hung out for a while before Taua and Sam came to visit. Doesn't Taua look beautiful? Love the hair do :) It was lovely to have visitors. Thanks for taking care of our wee man while I did the kennel handing.
After Taua and Sam went Nixon had a very short nap then got up in a real grump. I think his teeth are giving him heaps. I am positive his left top one has cut through then slipped back up again. He has not been a happy chappy at all. Red cheeks, chewing my pounamu and his rubber ducky flat out and doing the wicked dribbles. Poor wee man. I gave him 2mls of Pamol.
He managed to eat some of the vege deluxe dinner I prepared for him earlier. Grizzled some more but did relax for his bath time and naked romping around the lounge floor. Bed at 6.45pm.
