Day two

5.40 am Nixon made a wee noise and rolled over and went back to sleep. He didn't wake me. Charlie had already taken that honour 20 minutes earlier, as well as taking up the whole bed.

6.05 Super nana sprang into action to have the nine greyhounds and two labs fed, toileted, the kennels cleaned, the evening meals prepared in the -1 temperature (you did well, Grandad, to get a chick like me!) and Nixon's bottle ready by 7am.

7.10am Wee noises could be heard from Nixon's bedroom. Time to rush into the morning coffee before it all begins!

7.35 am Tell me, is it actually possible to shake a baby's bottle without getting milk everywhere? I think I'll do the shaking outside from now on. The wee man was ready for his morning kai. He was soaked through. Time for a feed, cuddles and a story in bed with nana to keep Jack Frost off us.

8.05am left over peach and mango from Friday night with mashed banana. That boy likes his food.

8.35 back in bed. Time for nana to get the washing out (grandad stacked the timber in a stupid place. Not enough room for long stuff any more. Note to Grandad - I want a real clothes line please!). Coats off the dogs. Lizzie in the big run. Time for nana to have breakfast - clearly not wine o clock yet but feels like it!
Off the world famous Oxford Market once Nixon woke up and got into his glad rags. Nana bought her own flowers again. I think the florist keeps forgetting Grandad's orders!
Off the park for swing. I don't think he wanted to get off!

Jo Segar's was the lunch venue. Mocca for nana and mango and peach for Nixon. Nana said "No" to the chocolate brownie. As you can see Nixon wasn't impressed. He wanted the brownie! He was happy with the toys though.
Nixon fell asleep in the van on the way home. Slept out there (with the door open) for about half an hour. Time enough to get the house vacuumed and car unpacked.

Look who come to visit us! No kennel handing for Nixon tonight. Yay for Nixon.
Bath time after dinner. Left over meal from last night with butternut pumpkin. Yummmmmmm

Talking to the duck. "Listen to me duck"
 Clean and nudey.
 Uncle Jesse has the camera.
Nana isn't like this story. Bring back that cat and it's hat!
Rosey cheeks, fair bit of grizzling. Pretty sure those teeth are being a pain. Nana's pounamu and a wee bit of Pamol will help.
Kitchen bitches! Nana's night off (good thing I dusted the stove top today. (If granddad doesnt' come back it's getting sold!)

6.35 Bed time - for Nixon. Not Nana.
