5.20am Charlie settled and Nixon had a wee cry so I went to have a peek. The light woke him right up so he spent the next hour in bed with Charlie and me.
6.20 Nixon went back to his own bed and once he was asleep I went and fed and toileted the dogs. A bit late so I had a kennel to clean up.
8.15ish Nixon woke for his bottle. I was knackered and he was a wee ray of sunshine to brighten me up. Nixon checked out Feral again. Feral stuck around a little bit longer than yesterday.
We sat in bed reading Old MacDonald's farm playing some farm game on the ipad (I searched apps for babies. This one is a waste of space.) Nixon checked out some pics of his gorgeous parents.
9ish Grandad rang from England. He confused the living daylights out of Nixon who kept looking over his shoulder to see where the voice was coming from, smiling away!
10.00ish Back to bed but too many distractions.
10.15 bed take two. Jesse and Hannah took Maggie and Skippy then George followed by Ridgy for a run on the gallop. Nixon slept through the racket.
11.30ish up for catch up with the family (without many members of it!). Yum :). Uncle Jesse needed a lesson in table manners.
Snacked on Marmite on toast while Jesse, Hannah and I enjoyed a lovely brunch cooked by Hannah!
12.00 bottle time!
1.30 ish back in bed and Uncle Jesse headed back to the Coast. Lucky him. Miss him already. So cool to have him stay. Hannah headed into Chch. So back to Nana and Nixon.
Teething time I reckon. Chew on that watch boy. No cheap plastic teething ring for our boy!!!
2pm Nixon got back up again to chill with Nana for a while.
3.30 back for a nap. Great timing. I got to do the dogs early while Nixon slept.
5.00 back up. Home stewed pears for dinner. Nana didn't burn them (maybe I won't sell the stove after all.)
6.00 bath and play with Charlie. Followed by a bit more pear while Hannah and I have dinner.
The cat just kept sleeping in her basket the whole time while these two made eyes at each other.
6.40ish. Refused his bottle! Nixon shook his head and wouldn't touch it!!!! Eventually, though he was convinced.
All in all a badly needed day at home blobbing (well as much blobbing as possible in between washing, dogs, dishes, dogs, firewood, dogs, changing beds, dogs...). Hannah and I are now having a well deserved vino. We hope Nikki-Leigh and Hayden are having a good time in Vietnam and Grandad has fun at the birthday BBQ. Missing you guys. Maybe Uncle John will come to visit soon.
