Day Six

I forgot to write about Nana Pam's world famous chocolate cookies that will be all gone when Mick gets back! Thank you Nana Pam. I will savoir every bite. I hope this was the calorie free recipe!

6.33 Another wee sleep in before putting my kennel hand hat on and doing my thing in the cold. Not so cold only about -1. No wet kennels today. Yay!!!

7.50am Nixon started his cutie sounds. Fed by 8.10 after frantically trying to cool the bottle down. Little Miss Super Organised forgot to make the bottle up after coming in from doing the dogs. It all worked out in the end though.

Our snuggle time was pretty cool. Nixon and Feral worked a bit harder on their friendship. Great Grandad came and had a chat to both of us while Nana Pam snored away in the room next door.

8.30ish This little Kiwi Kid had his weetbix and fruit for breakfast. Talking with his mouthful and all. He can do that at Nana's though! He had a wee nibble on one of Nana Pam's world famous Chocolate Chip Cookies. Don't tell his mother.

A snap of Grandad's dogs today because I know he is missing them. Great Grandad Paterson and I galloped the pups today while Great Nana did her nannering while we did the dog stuff. They both survived!

Great Grandad doing his thing. He practiced his bottle feeding techniques and didn't do too badly either! Great Grandad has been clucking and gooing all over Nixon since he got here.

Thank you Great Grandies for the new shirt, jeans and shoes. These are the pressies Great Grandad and Great Nana brought for Nixon. Doesn't he look hot? Wee heartbreaker this little dude! The shoes have to go back and be exchanged.
Out to lunch again at Under the Oaks in the new flash clothes. Nixon is becoming a regular there! They even reserve his seat for him! Great Grandad had a cooked breaky and the old girl had a not so good sausage roll.

We did a bit of shopping at the supermarket. Didn't even buy wine. Thought nana snuck a bottle cider into the shopping. Great Grandad pushed the pram around the metropolis of Oxford while Pam and I looked at the local shops. Yes, it did take more than ten minutes (just). We kept losing Dad but always found his red and black shirt somewhere in the distance. Why would any father of mine wear red and black? I thought he was a Highlanders supporter. Do I disown him or don't I? A question to ponder really.
Dad and Pam's flash new car blending in with the daffodils. It looks quite good parked outside my house. Maybe I should send my car home with them and leave that one sitting there.
Nixon hanging out in his ring thing while Charlie sulked because he thinks his wee buddy now likes the cat better. Poor Charlie. He really did have a sulk on.
Uncle Jesse turned up to drop off the black car. Hannah and Ross were dragged in to do some clucking and meet the olds. A very quick, rushed visit but they delivered some warm clothes for Nixon from the Coast, brought me some formula from Hokitika New World because they don't stock it in Oxford (nana and grandad also brought a can up with them for me) I got a hug from Ross. Thank you Ross.

Uncle Jesse tried to score Uncle points while the competition (Johnno and Kahu) were not around to muscle in on the action.
Funniest thing today. Grandad rang from England just as Nixon was getting ready for bed. The olds were funny as a play trying to dress that baby boy!

Grandad continued to work on his bottle feeding skills. I am not sure if he is qualified yet. More practice tomorrow may be in order.
